Rene Russo and Rose Namajunas Bio
Rene Marie Russo, an American film director and actress who was previously a supermodel, is also a director of films. She is known for her beautiful beauty and her endurance in the competitive film industry reflects her talents and abilities as performer. She started her career modeling in the 70s, and quickly became one of the top figures in modeling. In the early 1980s, she began taking acting classes and studied theater before performing on the theater stage of Los Angeles. The year 1987 saw Russo played Eden Kendell in ABC's drama Sable. She played Tom Berengers' love interest two years later on Major League, her debut movie. The critics were initially skeptical about her ability as an actor, but her consistent performances won them over. She was praised for her role in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak and also in Outbreak, where she was competing with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She admits that she is not a fan of acting. The year 2005 was the time she went to a break, which was forced by herself. In the film Thor it was her return to acting. In addition, she starred in Nightcrawler which was her husband's Oscar Award winning film. The Intern followed, as did Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas, one of the most well-known female UFC athletes, is an extremely successful athlete. She began in the amateur ranks, participating in various regional events. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her up and she later signed up for Ultimate Fighting Championships. The success she has achieved both inside and outside of the Octagon has helped make her a household brand since she became a member of the UFC. Namajunas was a Lithuanian who immigrated to the United States. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. As a child, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships is her debut professional bout. When she was 18, she was a winner of two fights by submission. This caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join the UFC Strawweight at the age of twenty-two years of age. Through Rose her career, she's gone through periods of both highs and lows but each times she has come out ahead. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. The fight was won via technical knockout in just 3 minutes in the initial round. This was the first ever female to fight in a title fight with any of the major promotions in the world. Namajunas kept winning wins, including two wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Performance of the Night from UFC.
